Cookie Notice

Last updated: 29 October 2026

Short version: Tethril sets four cookies, all of them for signing you in, and stores three preferences on your device. There are no advertising cookies, no tracking pixels and no third-party profiling. That's the whole list, and it's below in full.

What's actually stored

Read from a fresh browser on 29 October 2026 rather than copied from a template, so it should match what you'd find in your own DevTools.

Analytics doesn't use cookies

We measure page views and load performance with Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights. Neither writes a cookie or reads anything from your device. You can confirm that from the table above, which is the complete contents of our storage. Vercel derives a rotating, non-reversible hash instead of storing an identifier, so there's no profile to build and nothing that follows you to another site. Details in the Privacy Policy.

Why there's no cookie banner

Because we don't currently need one, and a banner that asks permission for nothing is just a click you have to make.

The EU and UK rules on this (the ePrivacy Directive, and the PECR in the UK) require consent before storing or reading anything on your device, except where it's strictly necessary to deliver a service you asked for. Keeping you signed in qualifies. Remembering that you chose dark mode is your own setting, on your own device, and goes nowhere. Everything in the table is one or the other, and our analytics stores nothing at all, so there is nothing left to ask about.

This would change the day we add anything that tracks you: a third-party analytics cookie, an ad pixel, a session recorder. If that ever happens, a proper consent banner ships with it, defaulting to off, and this page changes on the same day. We'd rather explain the reasoning than show you a banner as legal set-dressing.

Controlling cookies

Every browser lets you view, block and delete cookies in its settings, and blocking ours is a supported choice rather than something we'll nag you about. Two honest consequences: clearing them signs you out, and clearing localStorage resets your theme to the default. Nothing else breaks.

We honour Global Privacy Control signals. As we neither sell nor share personal data, there's nothing for it to switch off, but we won't override it either.
